WHEN WE ARE MARRIED

As you may be aware, this year marks our fiftieth anniversary. For our second offering we are repeating an old favourite, although it is 25 years since we did it last! This play with its large cast allows us to use most members of our group and include a few other too.

Three couples, full of their own importance, are celebrating their wedding anniversary. Married at the same time in the same church they are shocked to find that, in fact, the marriages were not legal. Nowadays this would not raise an eyebrow but in the 1900's, when this play is set, it is disastrous. As they try their best to keep the scandal a secret they are hampered by a meddlesome maid, a belligerent housekeeper, an inquisitive clergyman, a lady of ill-repute and a photographer who is extremely drunk.

Laughter is guaranteed from beginning to end.
